Introduction to Defence Procurement
Price: £195 (ex VAT)

Defence contracts for the UK have been regulated by law within the Defence & Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 (DSPCR 2011). The law governs how contracts are competed and placed in the public sector, with specific legislation applicable to the defence and security sector. However, the biggest changes ever to be made to this legislation will be live as of 28th October 2024 and has an impact on the way in which the UK MoD operate and procure.
As part of these changes, the UK MoD have other internal processes which will also be changing, including the structure of the organisation. Other processes such as governance of how business cases are approved are often mis-understood, or just not known. Understanding all the rules and processes involved is therefore vital to ensure your business knows how to work with the UK MoD, especially in light of the new legislation.
This course will provide you with understanding of the UK MoD procurement process and how your company can reach decisions about bidding and managing contracts with the UK MoD.

Ensuring you know how your customer operates is an important element of business sales strategy, especially in specialist markets and industries.
What you will learn on this course is how the UK MoD undertake their procurement process.
This course is ideal for:
• Commercial personnel
• Stakeholders
• Contract managers
